Offered Programs

T-Ball

Tee Ball is a trainer league designed to teach the basic of the game.
It is for boys and girls ages 4-6. Children must be four by May 1st of the current year to play. Teams are combined of both boys and girls. Tee Ball games are played on the fields located across the street from the Edison Elementary School and behind the Edison Middle School. Games will be played on Saturday mornings. The season runs mid April through the end of June.

Minor Girls

Minor Girls Division is for girls 8 and under as of January 1st. This division is designed to teach the fundamentals of softball. We use a pitching machine in this division, along with a child pitcher to the 2nd and 3rd graders. Games are played Monday through Friday, with Saturday as a day for rain outs or make up games. This year we have added light travel with Monroeville and Norwalk St. Paul as well as our Edison Teams. Home games are played at Milan’s “B” field across from the Edison Elementary and Berlin Heights Field 2 located behind the Edison Middle School. This season is from mid-April through the end of June.

Northcoast Girls Fastpitch Softball

North Coast is a competitive travel league consisting from the following communities: Amherst, Bellevue, Castalia, Clyde, Danbury, Huron, Monroeville, Norwalk, Oak Harbor, Perkins, Port Clinton, Sandusky, St. Mary’s, St. Paul, Vermilion and Willard. The age divisions are 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under and 18 and under. The age is as of January 1st. All girls must be evaluated within their own age division at a try out to determine if they make a team. Evaluations are based on age, scores and number of players needed to fill a team. Evaluation dates will be given at sign ups. Most home games are played at Edison High School. This season is from mid-April through the end of July. There is a tournament for this league held at the end of the season.

A copy of your birth certificate is mandatory with this league.

Rookie Boys

Rookie Boys Division is for boys in 1st – 2nd grade. This division is designed to teach the fundamentals of baseball. This division is coach pitch. Games are played Monday through Friday, with Saturday as a day for rain outs or make up games. Games are played in Milan on one of the fields across from the Elementaary School and in Berlin Heights on one of the fields located behind the Edison Middle School.

Minor Boys

Minor Boys Division is for boys in 3rd-4th grade. This division is designed as a recreational travel league. Boys will travel to Castalia, Huron and Sandusky (St. Mary’s) to play. Games are played Monday through Friday, with Saturday as a day for rain outs or make up games. . Home games are played in Milan across from the Edison Elementary School and in Berlin Heights behind the Edison Middle School. There is a tournament for this league held at the end of the season.

Major Boys

Major Boys Division is for boys in 5th – 6th grade. This division is designed as a recreational travel league. Some boys in this division also play on weekend competitive teams. Boys will travel to Castalia, Huron, SCCS (Sandusky) and Perkins to play. Games are played Monday through Friday, with Saturday as a day for rain outs or make up games. Home games are played in Milan across from the Edison Elemntary School or in Berlin Heights behind the Edison Middle School. The games for this season generally start in early to mid-April and continue through mid-July. There is a tournament for this league held at the end of the season.

Jr. Pony

Jr. Pony Boys Division is for boys in the 7th – 8th grade. This division is comprised of both a competitive team and a recreational team. Boys are evaluated to determine their placement on a team. Team placement is based solely on scores at the evaluation. Boys in this division will travel to various locations within the adjacent counties. (Travel time is usually 45 minutes or less.) Home games are played in Milan across from the Edison Elementary School or in Berlin Heights behind the Edison Middle School. This season generally mid-April to mid-July.
